Blessed are the peacemakers. It is the duty of every child of God to follow peace with all men. He is to do all possible good to every man and avoid all possible harm. He shall be called a son of God — he shall be acknowledged by God as bearing the divine likeness. And blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for great is their reward in heaven.
Q. How can you say that the good we do doesn't earn anything when God promises to reward it in this life and the next? A. This reward is not earned; it is a gift of grace.
