Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man which built his house upon a rock. He that heareth and doeth not is like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. Christianity is not merely hearing or knowing, but doing. The whole Sermon on the Mount is a practical religion, a religion of the heart flowing out into the life.
