Historic Christian voices

3 passages from patristic writers, Reformers, and church catechisms citing this verse.

And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark. The faith of Noah is here seen in his prompt obedience. The ark is a type of the Church, in which alone salvation is to be found. The flood is a dreadful testimony of the wrath of God against sin, and a warning to all ages that God is the judge of the world.
