Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Q. Will God permit such disobedience and rebellion to go unpunished? A. Certainly not. God is terribly angry about the sin we are born with as well as the sins we personally commit. As a just judge he punishes them now and in eternity. He has declared: Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the things written in the book of the law.
Q. Why can't the good we do make us right with God, or at least help make us right with him? A. Because the righteousness which can pass God's scrutiny must be entirely perfect and must in every way measure up to the divine law. But even our best works in this life are imperfect and stained with sin.
