2 Kings 23:25

And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.

KJV

LXX

And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to Jehovah with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.

4 passages from patristic writers, Reformers, and church catechisms citing this verse.

And when idolatrous rulers lead their people astray, God in His justice visits that people with judgment. Let no man think that God does not mark the abominations of those who lead His people. The duty of the faithful is to resist idolatry and to reform the church according to the Word of God, even if the magistrate be unwilling.
