Numbers 22:37

And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour?

Dixitque ad Balaam : Misi nuntios ut vocarent te : cur non statim venisti ad me ? an quia mercedem adventui tuo reddere nequeo ?

καὶ εἶπεν Βαλὰκ πρὸς Βαλαάμ Οὐχὶ ἀπέστειλα πρὸς σὲ καλέσαι σε; διὰ τί οὐκ ἤρχου πρὸς μέ; οὐ δυνήσομαι ὄντως τιμῆσαί σε;
