Jeremiah 38:12

And Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and rotten rags under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.

Dixitque Abdemelech Æthiops ad Jeremiam : Pone veteres pannos, et hæc scissa et putrida, sub cubito manuum tuarum, et super funes. Fecit ergo Jeremias sic,

καὶ ἥξουσιν καὶ εὐφρανθήσονται ἐν τῷ ὄρει Σειών, καὶ ἥξουσιν ἐπ’ ἀγαθὰ Κυρίου, ἐπὶ γῆν σίτου καὶ οἴνου καὶ καρπῶν καὶ κτηνῶν καὶ προβάτων· καὶ ἔσται ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτῶν ὥσπερ ξύλον ἔνκαρπον, καὶ οὐ πεινάσουσιν ἔτι.

And Ebed-melech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these rags and worn-out garments under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.
