And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

Supervenit autem et Syrus Damascenus, ut auxilium præberet Adarezer regi Soba : sed et hujus percussit David viginti duo millia virorum.
